Staff at County Insurance have brought some extra Christmas cheer to young people in hospital over the festive period.
As one of the UK’s leading insurance brokers, County Insurance regularly like to give back by getting involved in charity events particularly for causes within the local area. So after hearing about the shortage of toys in the playroom at Leighton Hospitals Child and Adolescent Ward, we challenged staff to donate toys and gifts to help.
Despite the fact that Christmas is a very expensive time of year for most people, staff gave generously and we are delighted to reveal that we managed to donate around 40 new toys, games, teddies and books to the unit.
Tim Crighton, Marketing Director at County Insurance said: “The response that we had from staff for this appeal has been fantastic, and it’s for such as great cause. Hopefully the toys will bring a little extra happiness to the children over Christmas in what is probably a worrying time for them and their families.”
Laura Riddle, Charity Manager at Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity added: “On behalf of the staff, patients and parents at Leighton Hospital, I’d like to thank staff at County Insurance for their kind donation. A simple gesture like this can really make a big difference to children who will be spending Christmas in hospital
In conclusion, we would like to thank all the staff for their kind generosity! It all went to a great cause and will be making Christmas extra special for the children who are spending Christmas in hospital. Everyone at County would like to wish you all a good Christmas. Stay safe!
