Community as at the heart of everything County does.
Our focus is on 'bringing insurance back to the community', and part of this is being in the lucky position to be able to support so many charities, clubs and events.
Across our group of more than 40 businesses, we support a huge variety of activities - below is a small snapshot of that support...

At County we have sponsored Crewe's favourite 'Railwaymen', since 2022.
Blackburn Youth Zone
At County, we support young adults and children at Blackburn Youth Zone.
Welsh Golf PGA Pro
For years, George Williams insurance have sponsored and supported PGA events.
Preston Grasshoppers
We are the proud sponsors of Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club.
Nantwich Cricket Club
Nantwich Town FC have been sponspored by County Group since 2022.
Tenbury Tigers Football Team
County are proud to sponsor 2022-23 football kit for 'Tenbury Tigers' under 7s team.
Local Food Banks
As a way to give back to our local communities for Christmas 2021, we ran the BIG County Food Collection. With our branches collecting donations from their customers and teams, to donate to their local food banks. We were blown away by the support of customers, and were able to help out Food Banks including:
- St. Pauls Pantry, Crew
- Warrington Food Bank
- The Brick homeless shelter, Wigan
- Swansea Food Bank
- Yellow and Blue (YaB Wrexham)
- Salvation Army Southport
- Cardiff Food Bank
Mind
We have been regular supporters of Mind through various fundraising efforts. Mind are a mental health charity in England and Wales, founded in 1946, with the mission of "making sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone".
We recently supported Mind by fundraising at our Charity Golf Day 2022.
RNLI
The RNLI is an excellent charity committed to saving lives at sea. Every year we hold a bake sale in aid of The RNLI. Former employee John Lawson, who is a chairman of the charity and organises the event.
Christmas Jumper Day
Every year, all our branches take part in Christmas Jumper Day. Everyone makes a donation of £2 and all the donations we collect go to Save the Children. An incredible charity fighting against child poverty, hunger and much more
CVS Toy Appeal
In December 2018 and 2019, we took part in the CVS Christmas Toy Appeal. The toy appeal is always successful with all our employees showing their support by making a donation. The charity distributes gifts and toys, to charities and groups across Cheshire East who directly support children and families facing hardship at Christmas.
Georgy's Fight
In September 2020, our Head office wore yellow and brought raffle tickets to raise funds for Georgy’s fight (Georgy is an 8 year old boy who needs treatment aboard for a rare form of cancer). Yellow clothing is to represent the Childhood Awareness ribbon and in total, we were able to raise over £250.
